A hands-on industry education experience from Ivy & Bleu. In 2018 students with creative flair began to flock our studio spaces to learn all we had to teach about the amazing world of Weddings & Events. With hands-on courses about everything from floral preparation to coordination and styling, we now give you the opportunity to join us in our boutique space to create something amazing. These small intimate classes will give you the opportunity to get involved with our experienced educators and expand your knowledge through fun learning activities. Different to our online courses, students have an open forum to ask and learn in addition to being part of a working photoshoot to help overcome the hardest of obstacles for new styling businesses – building content.
Shoot Me
Our full Academy experience. This three day learning journey covers both theoretical and hands on experience with our Creative Director Mandi – voted by “Modern Wedding” into the Top 25 Australian Wedding Stylists for 3 consecutive years, 2016, 2017 & 2018. The course includes your own starter floral and styling pack, Songbird Silk, dessert buffet & cocktails, daily refreshment, florals in the shoot colour palette selection & Dropbox with portfolio photos from the styled shoot (within 4 weeks of shoot 5 – 20 images as per Ivy & Bleu’s discretion). Classes are small and intimate. Payment Plans available with 30% Deposit to secure your place, with monthly payments until 1 month prior to course commencement.

Welcome & Introduction: How to build a brand
Warehouse & stock tour, work through how we do a styling consult, trend forecasting, how to build a styling concept and mood board, how to work across a budget/venue/style.
The 411:
Inside into breaking down a run sheet, On The Day Coordination, planning a wedding and running a client’s budget.
Social Media:
Overhaul and guide to viewing insights, hashtags, creating a following.
Day Two
Floralise
09:00 – 11:00 – Prep and arrange your provided florals in a bouquet
11:00 – 11:30 – Make your own buttonhole
12:00 – 02:30 – Floral centrepiece demonstration
Day Three
Shoot Me Portfolio
9:00 – 2:00 – Styled shoot with an industry recommended professional with styled model and hire items from some of our favourite industry vendors.

Short Floral Courses
These 2 hour short floral courses are with our talented floral team. Learn how to source and prep the correct flowers and arrange into a variety of different styles of arrangements. Each course covers basic floral and foliage prep and sourcing and allows each student to continue through the program learning new techniques and styles each time. Wine, cheese & grazing platter 15 minutes prior to class starting.

Large Arbour Installation

Working on a large scale full floral arbour with the team you will learn the techniques behind foliage basing, maximising, ordering and costing your product and scaling and creating your design.
Suspended Installation

Work with the team on creating a large scale suspended installation. Break down ordering and costing your product, correct preparation and mechanics and scaling and installation your design.
Floral Centrepiece

Learn how to prep your flowers and foliage and arrange into a foam based centrepiece (centrepiece type will vary with each version of this specific class to allow new techniques to be taught).
Romantic Bouquet

Learn to prep and arrange your flowers into a romantic bouquet or centrepiece arrangement using the Strauss method.
