Learn about finding a niche in the market for classically elegant soft styling, and how the Ivy & Bleu Events floral department, Ivy & Bleu Blooms, quickly grew to become of Australia’s most well known floral suppliers for creating stunning hand tied bouquets and whimsical floral work. Due to property location classes are kept small to ensure all attendees have the opportunity to openly discuss their own business paths and goals, and are in an open forum to discuss any questions they might have.
Each attendee will have the opportunity to prep their own flowers and arrange into a romantic hand tied bouquet, along with working alongside our florists creating centrepieces, arbours & more as required based on shoot concept.
Together with some of Australia best wedding industry vendors we will bring our concepts together to create an epic styled shoot, from which content can be used for your own social media channels. Build imagery for your brand with professional headshots, behind the scenes photos of your team working, along with shots of your stunning bouquet.
Wrap it all up by joining your creative team for a gala dinner amongst your beautifully styled & floralised space.
The workshop/retreat is based in the Byron Bay Hinterland – approximately 20 minutes from the Ballina-Byron Airport.
Students staying onsite will stay in the stunning rooms which can be viewed here We have booked the entire property. Daily light breakfast, Sunset Cocktail & Dinner is included (you may even have a special meal cooked lovingly by our girl Mandi)
We will have limited spaces available for students staying off site.
Class starts daily at 9:30am with lunch & refreshments provided. Class aims to finish around 3/3:30pm to allow those staying onsite to read, chat with your attendees, relax poolside or book yourself in for a facial or massage with the local therapist. We will also arrange group yoga classes for those who wish to partake.
In addition to the above, all students will receive a Welcome Gift bag & copy of the “Little Bleu Book”, hand died silk & all other floral tools required.
Our workshops are designed for all levels: those new or interested in the industry, as well as those currently working in the amazing world of weddings & events wanting to further their skills and grow their business. If you are interested in growing your self esteem & business goals we aim to give you a great investment, as well as growing your skills, meeting amazing like-minded people, and above all having an absolute blast.

Day Two
Styling, Co-ordinating, Building your Brand & Utilising Social Media for Growth.
9:30am – 3:00pm with light lunch provided
Welcome & Introduction:
A little behind the brand of Ivy & Bleu, Team introductions & background, course goals & how shoot concept was designed. Theoretical content and overview of “The Little Bleu Book” (full components as above) with open forum for discussions & questions. Social Media overhaul and business planning sessions.
Day Three
Floralise
9:30am – 3:00pm
Prep and arrange your provided florals in a Romantic Hand Tied Bouquet, begin work on shoot concepts for centrepieces, urn work, arbour & hanging installations as required by shoot brief.
Day Four
Shoot Me Portfolio
9:00am – 3:00pm
Finish the floral & styling setup & undertake in a Styled Shoot working with your creative team & the best in the local Wedding Industry. Learn how to photograph your styling & florals with award winning photographer. Have professional headshots taken.
Finish and return at 6:30pm to dine amongst you’re creations under the stars with your Shoot Team.
We may have a hair & makeup team available onsite if you would like to book this service at a additional cost.

Workshops and retreats are not a profit making exercise for us here at Ivy & Bleu Events. We genuinely love teaching and helping you all to grow, and the income from these courses allow us to create epic content and share this with you all. Places are not refundable under any circumstances and payment plans are available. All international travel students must take travel insurance and arrange own flights and transport to the course each day.
